What are your child’s targets for Literacy?

• To correctly write their first name without support
• To use the sounds they can hear to read and write a variety of simple words
• To begin to understand the elements of a story eg: characters, main events, beginnings and endings
• To retell a story in the correct order
• To learn and apply the sounds taught in phonics and sent home

• Continue to recognise numbers to 10/20
• To add/subtract using a group of objects practically
• To be able to compare weights or heights eg: heavier, lighter, taller, shorter
• To correctly write numbers 0 to 10
