School Improvement Plan 2011-12

This document was compiled together by the staff and Governors of Sholing Infant School. It follows on from the SIP INSET day in July 2011 and builds upon the success of the previous school improvement plan. It acknowledges the hard work of pupils and staff, and also the school’s commitment to work in partnership with the local community and parents, ensuring that children at Sholing Infant school have access to education of the highest quality.

This SIP also takes account of the views of parents and pupils gathered via questionnaires in the academic year 2010-11
It is recognised that whilst there is an ongoing importance to develop all aspects of the school’s work. Certain aspects have priority.

School Improvement plans are an important way of identifying and agreeing manageable objectives and how to achieve them.
This school improvement Plan aims to:

  • ensure that the school’s work continually improves and increases the opportunities that it provides for it’s pupils
  • raise achievement and standards of attainment for all children.

The school improvement plan outlines the key development priorities and identifies how the school aims to achieve these. It also includes action plans for the cycle of curriculum development which take place every year.

Progress since the last Improvement Plan as identified by staff and governors on our School Improvement Planning day – July 2011.
